Home Information Pack

Since 14 December 2007 every home put on the market, no matter what size, must have a Home Information Pack. It brings together valuable information at the start of the process - such as a sale statement, local searches and evidence of title - which could save you money, time and stress. The Pack also includes an Energy Performance Certificate that contains advice on how to cut CO2 emissions and fuel bills.
The principle HIPs is to provide buyers with all the information they need about a property at an early stage in the house-buying process in order to lessen the likelihood of delays further down the line.
What does a HIP contain?
A HIP MUST include:
· Home Information Pack index
· Energy performance certificate
· Sale statement
· Standard searches
· Evidence of title
· Leasehold or common hold information where appropriate
Additional, optional content includes:
· Home condition report
· Legal summary
· Home use / contents form
· Other documents such as rights of way, guarantees, warranties etc.
By using Brar & Co’s HIP compilation service as part of its one-stop-shop service you could save as much as £2,000 on your moving expenses.
